PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES Lamisil AT Cream:
Lamisil AT Cream terbinafine (E)-N-(6,6-dimethyl-2-heptyl-4-inyl)-N-methyl-1-naftalenmetanamin – antifungal allylamines of broad-spectrum. Terbinafine in the appropriate concentration has fungicidal action against dermatophytes, molds and certain dimorphic fungi. Activity against yeasts, depending on the species and may be fungicidal or fungistatic. Terbinafine specifically inhibits the biosynthesis of sterols early stage in the cell membrane of the fungus. This leads to a deficiency of ergosterol and the accumulation of intracellular squalene, which causes cell death of the fungus. The action of terbinafine is accomplished by inhibiting the enzyme in the cell membrane skvalenepoksidazy fungus. This enzyme does not belong to the cytochrome P450 system. Terbinafine does not influence the metabolism of hormones or other drugs.
When applied topically the drug begins to act quickly, it can be used to achieve the effect in short-term treatment (7-14 days). When applied topically absorbed less than 5% caused by the drug, so the absorption of terbinafine in the systemic circulation is negligible.

APPLICATION Lamisil AT Cream:

Lamisil AT cream applied to the skin 1-2 times a day depending on the disease. Before applying the cream to be cleaned and dry the affected skin.
